ALICE (Milla Jovovich)

Iconic action heroine Alice is found (indelibly portrayed in all five films by Milla Jovovich) right where she was last seen at the end Resident Evil: Afterlife—on the deck of the mysterious ship Arcadia, where she hoped to find more survivors of the plague. Instead, Alice is in the fight of her life as her former ally Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) and a fleet of the nefarious Umbrella Corporation’s V-22 helicopters swoop in with orders to shoot to kill.

Alice was stripped of her superpowers in Resident Evil: Afterlife, a move that Jovovich believes was critical to the development of the character. “We’ve moved closer to the original Alice, who was a little more vulnerable,” she says. “When she’s in danger, the audience can be scared for her because she can’t just make everything explode. She’s still a badass, just not a superhero badass.”

As Alice becomes acclimated to being human again, she has to learn to trust and depend on those around her, adds Jovovich. “Without her superpowers, she doesn’t feel as isolated. She feels more in touch with other people, and she has to be much more of a team player. And she has been able to acquire bit of a sense of humor about it all. If all you do is go around killing zombies and being chased by Umbrella storm troopers, you may as well take it with a wink and a smile.”

Think Like A Man

Think Like A Man the new adaptation of Steve Harvey's best-selling book,  earned a muscular $9 million at the box office on Friday, reports THR. That puts the little-discussed film on track to knock "The Hunger Games" out of the top position when final numbers are tabulated on Monday. (Deadline.com's Nikki Finke was even more bullish on "Think Like a Man," reporting Friday grosses of $12 million.)

Finke's estimates were dead-on: "Think Like a Man" earned $12.2 million on Friday, which could push it over $30 million for the weekend.

Directed by Tim Story, "Think Like A Man" has been tracking very well despite little mainstream press acknowledgement. (The film was projected to gross around $17 million this weekend.) Earlier this month, Vutlure reported that "Man" was the "best-testing film in Hollywood," with screening audiences giving it almost unanimous praise and approval. The romantic comedy stars Romany Malco, Meagan Good, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy and Kevin Hart, who could be "Man's" not-so-secret weapon. Last year, the comedian's stand-up film, "Laugh at My Pain," earned a surprising $7.7 million at the box office.

The Three Stooges

Wrath of the Titans

21 Jump Street

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Nicholas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures' and Hyde Entertainment's Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance. Contraband

Safe House

The Devil Inside
